Why Zillow Gave Up
When Zillow does something big everyone takes notice, and this week was no exception. Zillow just quit the iBuying business. What exactly does that mean for the local real estate agent? We all know Zillow as a behemoth machine that took the real estate industry by storm; but if we look closer, this pivot creates a great opportunity for local real estate agents.
Today, Massive Agent Podcast host Dustin Brohm is sharing a great way Realtors can maximize on Zillow’s exit from iBuying. Dustin reminds us that Zillow can’t match the knowledge and experience we have in our individual markets. As licensed professionals, we should position ourselves as knowledgeable educators who can get the job done for our clients. That means speaking to clients and creating content that helps them understand the local market and positions us as the go to source when they’re ready to buy or sell.
We all know local Realtors are far better suited to provide much more targeted information that is beneficial to sellers. If we commit to educating our clients and frame Zillow's latest move just right, we’ll take the high road and gain more business in the process.
