With every piece of content that you put out on social, you should ask yourself, is this marketing or branding?


On this episode we break down the difference between marketing and branding. We, as real estate professionals, seem to use those two words interchangeably. But guess what, they are not the same thing.  

Tyler Jack Harris is an influencer on social from outside the real estate industry, however his knowledge on branding with authenticity on social media is something we all can aspire to. We as real estate agents and loan officers, all too often get caught in this trap of constantly MARKETING.

Real estate, real estate, real estate all the time. 

But that is not the same thing as a brand. A brand is a legacy. What we leave behind when it is all said and done.

We should be using social media as leverage, but in the right way. We forget the main purpose behind social media is to actually be SOCIAL, not selling. Sales becomes the by-product when you show people who you really are as well as what you do. It takes a long time, hard work, and consistency to crank out content that people what to see and hear, but at the end of the day it is completely worth it.
